Weekends: July 30, 2011

This weekend, I attended the opening of Moshi Moshi along Katipunan, right across from my alma mater. A modern Japanese fast food joint, Moshi Moshi is the baby of my good friend Jessica, whom I’ve known since we were nine years old, and it was great to see her and my old schoolmates again.

I decided to bust out this polka-dotted baby blue dress with a sheer yoke from Plains&Prints, one of my favorites. I decided to play up the monochromatic contrasts, from the slate and navy blues from my bowfront belt to the small crossbody bag. Later on, as the rainy day got colder, I added a navy cardigan to match.

The dress is delicate and feminine, so I chose this pearly pink pair of dainty peacock earrings, and finished with these raspberry wedges to give the sweet look a bright counterpoint.

Update: you can read about my ideas on different ways to wear this dress, including wearing it to work.
